DIRECTOR OF QUALITY IMPROVEMENT

Schedule

Full time, 40 Hours/Week, Monday-Friday

Responsibilities

Able to direct and ensure a culture of continuous quality improvement that leads to sustained results through use of quality improvement tools. Root cause analysis experience preferred.
Promote a culture of safety through High reliability principles and be a resource for the organization.
Resource for policy development and best practice standards of care.
Management and abstraction of CMS Hospital Inpatient, Outpatient, Psychiatric, Electronic quality reporting programs.  Directs compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements.   Perform timely abstractions of quality measures for hospital quality reporting programs.  Enter/Submit to CMS data from abstractions.  Oversight and entry into CMS of the Self-administering HCAHPS program.
Able to review patient events with deference to Serious Event reviews.

Requirements

REQUIRED:    Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Connecticut.  BS or BA in health related field.  Previous Quality Improvement experience, with a working knowledge of CMS medical quality measures and/or behavioral health measures.   Previous Hospital experience.  Excellent organization, communication, and analysis skills.  Knowledge of computer programs for data collection, tracking and reporting. Able to manage the work of teams to desired outcomes.
