Job Title



Hours Per Week:  40 hours/week
Sample Schedule:   Tues-Fri  3-11:30 pm; Sat 9-6pm; ½ hour lunch


*Is responsible for ensuring that a safe and sanitary building environment is provided for staff, members, families, and visitors.
*Coordinates department work so as to minimize disruptions to the members and on-site activities, while at the same time is responsive to the needs of the members requiring assistance.
*Develops work assignments for the Housekeepers and EVS staff on all shifts.
*Performs the established number of required post-assignment inspections for all housekeeping and EVS staff.
*Provides written reports to the Facility Manager and Assistant Facility Manager.
*Meets with housekeeping and EVS staff each day for daily assignments and department reports.
*Performs nightly/daily rounds of the entire building, documenting areas that need maintenance be in the maintenance work log.
*Provides the Facility Manager the list of supplies needed in order to maintain an adequate supply at all times.
*Completes the tasks necessary to maintain the building and grounds in a state of good repair, cleanliness and attractive appearance, including providing routine housekeeping services in both member apartments and in the common areas of the building. 
*Works in collaboration with the Director of Community Services and/or the Membership Specialist to assure vacated apartments are prepared for new members.

* Participates in light EVS and facility tasks as requested, such as changing light bulbs, performing small plumbing tasks, window washing, trash removal, snow removal of member vehicles.
*Maintains an accurate account of services chargeable to the members and submits the signed receipts to the Facility Manager daily/nightly.
*Ensures safe and proper storage of cleaning supplies, chemicals, tools and equipment.
*Ensures proper removal and disposal of trash.
Assists with room set-up and clean-up for special events.


• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• One (1) year experience in a healthcare Environmental Services staff position or two years experience in commercial, hospitality or other cleaning industry required.
• Experience in developing staff work assignments in an ever-changing environment.
• Strong desire to work with a senior population.
• Ability to communicate in English. Ability to read, write and speak English well.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Effective customer service skills.
• Considerable initiative and judgment.
• Computer experience with Microsoft Office and Outlook.
• Adult CPR Certification (will sponsor)
• Basic First Aid/AED Certification (will sponsor)
• Associate degree in a related field, such as hospitality.
