supporting hebrew health care

Hebrew Health Care provides highly personalized, quality care and is committed to improving the health of older adults in our community. So what is it about Hebrew Health Care that distinguishes us from other geriatric health care organizations? It's our commitment to comprehensive care of the elderly. We do not simply say it. We do not simply build it. Hebrew Health Care does it - every day, every week, and every year.

Each person who has a relationship with Hebrew Health Care has a common goal: to improve the physical, mental and spiritual well-being of our seniors - regardless of their ability to pay for their care. As the majority of our residents and patients rely on government assistance, meeting all of these needs is a considerable challenge. Your generosity supports a myriad of worthwhile programs and services that add quality and meaning to the lives of the older adults who look to us for care.

One such program is A Fresh Canvas: An Alzheimer's Art Program which is made possible from a grant through the Bella and Max Shulman Family Fund of the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Hartford. This innovative program provides expressive art therapy, music therapy, and movement and music groups so all of our patients with dementia - even if for just a moment - can connect with their life, their loves and their cherished memories.
