Bob Mankoff To Share His Gift of Laughter with Hebrew Senior Care

January 8, 2016, West Hartford, CT-Throughout a lifetime there are many moments that one draws upon again and again for strength, hope and fulfillment. Many of these emotions can often be revisited through various forms of art and movement therapies. Hebrew Senior Care’s Dementia Care Services Department offers life changing benefits through premium arts programs such as Fresh Canvas, Note Worthy Voices, and MUSIC AND MEMORY℠. Celebrate Life will be held on Sunday, April 17, 2016, from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm at The Bushnell, in Hartford; proceeds from the evening will benefit those programs and will offer first hand insights into the impact they have on those with dementia.

Bob Mankoff, Cartoon Editor of The New Yorker and featured speaker that evening, will bring and share his gift of laughter to Hartford. Mankoff is one of the nation’s leading commentators on the role of humor in American business, politics, and life. At the event, Mankoff’s New York Times bestseller and memoir How About Never? — Is Never Good For You will be the featured topic of his presentation and will be available for purchase that evening. Sure to delight, his presentation will outline Mankoff’s love for the art from his childhood through adulthood; and will demonstrate as Mankoff has been quoted, “Anything worth saying is worth saying funny.”

Event tickets begin at $250, and sponsorship and corporate packages are available; they include Mankoff’s presentation, cocktails, a selection of fine cuisine, and a dessert reception with Bob Mankoff.
