Hebrew Health Care's New Program Aging Care Academy Begins in September

Hebrew Health Care’s Pamela K. Atwood has created a new program which helps those in our community searching for answers on how to care for the aging loved ones. The program, entitled Aging Care AcademySMis generously supported by Farmington Bank Community Foundation and a dynamic advisory council of family consumers, members of our Board of Trustees/Corporators, and community providers/partners.
Aging Care AcademySMis Hebrew Health Care’s answer, meeting the need for caregiver education. This program is designed to assist family members caring for older adults. The goal is to offer information, resources and to provide support. The courses are each 90 minutes and taught by the experts at Hebrew Health Care and some of our community partners.
The curriculum is designed to include “core” courses and “electives”. Caregivers are encouraged to take core courses that all caregivers should know and electives which are pertinent to individual caregiving situations. The tuition is only $20/course and there are scholarships available.
