Registered Nurse

POSITION SUMMARY

Our Nurses work in collaborative environments with strong interdisciplinary teams, focused on a patient centered care model in a richly diverse work space. Under the direction and general supervision of the Nurse Manager, the registered nurse utilizes evidence based practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, policies and procedures of the hospital and as directed by the medical staff. The registered nurse who through knowledge and ability uses the nursing process to develop a plan of care which includes standards of practice to meet the physical, emotional spiritual, cultural and educational needs of the patient and family.
 

Hiring for all shifts; includes Part Time, Full Time and Per Diem Positions

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides and promotes on-the-spot leadership which facilitates the delivery of professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of patients.
• Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and family.
• Implements medically prescribed interventions.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Required License or Certifications: Must have and maintain current licensure as a registered nurse with CT DPH (out of state candidates must be able to apply for license reciprocity with DPH).
• Preferred Experience: Prior experience in behavioral health nursing.
